Good morning all, woke up to a relatively mild morning, the frost is actually going and it was 0 when I got up :D
    Morning all

Today begins my last week

I can't believe time has passed by so quickly

I'm onto single figures in the bus countdown :rotfl: :rotfl:

Good luck, but I am seriously going to miss your bus stories:p

As for restraint with glitching, I do not buy things we will not use. I do not do online shopping either. I simply buy what I want/will use, such as the Nouvelle loo roll voucher a year or two ago, I filled my boots with that and still have a large amount, but it will get used.

I've still got tons of stuff from the dtd tesco days.

Literally 1800 individual dishwasher tablets probably lasting 10 years, tons of toothpaste, deodrant (his and hers), shower gel and shampoo... which was all effectively free, so I don't get too excited when i save 50% on them owing to the fact my shed is rammed.

I do look out for stuff I will use tho, chocolates are a big no no tho as even if its half price thats actually extra expenditure I wouldn't have made

Hence why I said "some people" ;)

I wasn't looking to start a debate, just offering a reason why someone might not want to use both vouchers against one purchase

I know aau. And I don't want a debate either. I deliberated about posting again for that very reason.;)

In what is currently an ocean of posts regarding A e-vouchers on CC shops, it seemed an unusual comment.
"Some people" would find ALMOST EVERYTHING we do on here to be taking the urine and it perhaps highlights how far away from "normal" our shopping habits have become.

I am not criticising those people who are getting vouchers this way. I always try my best to be non judgemental as I know we are a "broad church".

I also appreciate that we can "debate" without it developing into a screaming match. All of us will have been around here long enough to know it wasn't always so:cool:

I agree a bit and have hit my restraint button

I love a sale and in the last 18 months a gliche but I was "buying" for the sake of it and for others. Family are happy to "pay" the cheap price but I was buying way more than the two of us could use

I have stocked up and have all the Christmas cards and paper for this year and have enough "raffle" prizes for the GC events or a quick b'day gift
We never see wombles in sada They have guys out all the time 8pm on a snowy cold Saturday night

I have space in my freezer which I hope to start filling at the end of the month or mid February We had a beautiful roast leg of lamb last night but I bought it four months ago so a clear out is needed

I really admire those like savvy sal, et al, who womble and can keep their spend down without becoming a hoarder with the "offers" like I do Sometimes it felt like I was spending a fortune but it does look lovely all lined up in the garage though :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love your post, makes great sense to me and yes it's great looking at your stashes :D

I've not set foot in a Boots store purposely this year as don't want to be tempted by the sale. I still have stuff from last year but everything is allocated on a list for birthdays so I know who is getting what and there is only so many toiletry gift sets one person needs ;)

From previous years I've probably gone overboard in buying gift sets and had to create birthday lists of who got what so I didn't double up for Xmas etc :o

I'm tring to run down the freezer in the garage as it could do with a defrost tbh but DH keeps popping into our T express after work and topping it up  he's worse than me for whoopsies :o. We gave both freezers a good sort out before Christmas and used up loads of stuff even giving some away to DH's bro who's not working at the moment. Got the freezer drawers in month order now so we are now working from September purchases.

My problem is I'm always buying stuff for other people, can't resist a bargain and know our shopping can always help out a member of the family. Food banks got a whole heap of stuff after Christmas, I held back on donating as their donations usually go down after Christmas compared to how generous people are before festivities.

Little sis if your lurking :hello: she volunteers at a shelter so I've given her toiletries for people to use. There's a real shortage of warm clothing for men too so will need to raid DHs wardrobe again.

We are hoping to move house this year so that's another reason why I'm not adding a great deal to my stash. As it is I'm gonna have to box quite a bit up.

Anyway peeps, stay safe on those roads today and please remember to add a bit extra for braking distance in the ice :)

Doesn't look like it is working anymore x
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)
