  • These bags are absolutely beautiful and well worth the money - I managed to get two from my local Mr Shoes this morning x Inside there is a 15% off coupon for Jack Wills Clothes x

A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together ;)

    :(:(:(

Oh, alright then, if you're going to give me "stupid 10 character..." then I may as well post my next post here rather than separately!:mad::( Good evening folks:D.

Having been kept on here:o:o, I was one hour 45 minutes late for the first M store today. However, fortunately there was very little change and I managed to cut the first visit down by 45 minutes - so, ended up one hour late, which met my target!:D:D None of the usual bit of a traffic queue, which I now understand must be a bit of schools traffic, on the way back - and I even managed to get out of the town just before rush-hour!:j Essential really, as this is the town with a series of traffic lights, including on roundabouts:(, and would have taken forever and a day to get out of there had I not left at the right time! I caught a bit of rush hour traffic then into the city Morrisons (my second main store), but not too much.

So, no change apart from the Persil washing up liquids have gone to 50p. That's it - you're up-to-date:D.

But you know it doesn't end with that!:D:D As usual, there's additional items that I keep finding, some of which will certainly be going onto the list. Fwiw:rotfl:. You'll be pleased to hear that I've picked up quite a few nice low RTC prices, but let's hope that every price collector in M has done the same:D. Judging by the looks of it, from Monday's APG results which are appearing now, it appears we'll have a hard job:p. Picking up 82p for the Piccalilli was unbelievable:shocked:, but anyway...

Krakus Pork Knuckle tin (300g). Showing A £1.78 and M 50p on msm. This is now showing OOS on m.com. However, that's not necessarily the case instore. All three Krakus products at 50p for M are now marked OOS on m.com, but this one apparently is the only one sold by both A and M. Fortunately it was the only one I managed to find any trace of instore!

In the first store, I found a SEL for the exact product showing 50p:T but found no stock. However, this does not concern me because:

"16.2. 1 Prices are taken from the shelf price label for each product in Morrisons; if any product is sold out, then we'll still use the shelf price label if visible..."
    (APG T&Cs)

However, that would depend on whether the price collectors (I understand in 6 different stores (APG), 3 in England, 2 in Scotland and 1 in Wales (the two Scottish ones specific for the collection data used in shopping in Scotland)) have this situation in their stores or not. If that is generally reflective (a SEL for the product, showing 50p, but no stock) then they should pick it up. Nonetheless, bear in mind that this is the same store that has left a SEL for the Savers Cheese & Onion Pasty and that that has, rightly (sadly), gone N/A on the APG. It does not appear that M produce Savers Cheese & Onion Pasty anymore for the moment.

However, I found the Krakus Pork Knuckle 300g in two further M stores. Plenty of stock, but the SEL in each of them said £1.59:eek:. However they scanned at 50p:T. So, £1.59 on the shelf - means 50p. If, although this is a manual collection, they go from scanning rather than visual look, then it should pick up 50p. They may miss mbuys (on other products elsewhere) because, without an mbuy SEL (my M stores are notorious for the odd failure to display mbuy pricing, one of them in particular), how would they know to scan however number of times and record an mbuy price? Krakus Pork Knuckle - looking positive from store therefore, but with the way they are who can tell and would you buy this in A to try for a saving of just 5p?

Speaking of Savers products that no longer appear to be produced, I reckon that S/P Breaded Chicken Burger (frozen, 454g) is going to go N/A on the APG. It now appears to be good for a comparison against T only. I have no SELs in any of my stores and none of the product anymore.

The Bell's Scotch Pies (ex. 'free' pack) - rose to £1.10:eek: and too them out of my range - are now apparently back to £1. The fresh sundaes are still on 2 for £180 mbuy apparently. However, it appears that the Giant Yorkshire Pudding is now straight price and no longer on 3 for £1. But, oh, m.com shows mbuy. Reckon this is my stores again - or HQ may have decided to pull it off, sent that message to stores, then changed their mind, maybe it's on mbuy, maybe it is not:D. I'm afraid you'll all just have to write to M headquarters and ask them the question. Maybe if enough of us make the enquiry:eek:, they'll actually get the stores to make things clear:(:rotfl:.

I also have another expensive wine for you - "The Shy Pig Crisp White Australian Vintage 75cl" at £3.49.

The M Spicy Chilli Ketchup (310g) was on an RTC price in M last week. Did I ever put that onto the list? Maybe I collected the price but then decided it wasn't good enough for it to make it to the list? Anyway, it disappeared from the sole M that I used on Monday so I assumed it's cleared! However, it's back at my other store now - and has gone down in price further, so it will now be getting onto the list! 15p:D in M (store stock permitting).

You can have the M Sweet Pickle jar 495g for 25p in M if your M has it at that price. Or the M Sweet Pickle jar 295g, maybe right next to it, for 75p:eek::eek::rotfl: Way to go! 200g less and pay three times the price! I did notice a few spaces in the 295g stock:eek: (then again I also noticed some in the 495g ones too), so maybe some people had been getting the 295g at 75p automatically and not looking next to them!:rotfl::rotfl:

Some Chargrill Mixed Peppers in Sunflower Oil (280g jar) at 25p, but doesn't seem too many gs - might not be getting onto the list but I'll mention it here! Even 'worse', maybe, quite small jars, M "Red Pepper & Sundried Tomato Bruschetta Topping 100g" at 20p. And Crespo Green Olives and Lemon 200g/Crespo Green Olives and Jalapeno 200g at 50p:eek::rotfl:. (Seems quite a steep price for that weight to me:rotfl:, but posted to be aware of their existence.)

Finally, on the subject of RTCs, this one a silly one to avoid: a Maynard's Sports Mixture carton (oh look, it's had a downsizing - Google search reveals 540g now unavailable everywhere), about 480g. This one had been placed on the RTC shelf, box not in best condition, had even been sellotaped back up. How much do you reckon they wanted for that? No price marked on it, so I took it to the SS to check. Now, my maximum price for a carton of sweets like this would probably be 98p maximum. If anything, I'd expect half of that, especially for a carton that had been taped up. So, what do you think it scanned at?

Obviously my price perception must be completely out! £2.75:eek::eek: they wanted! It went straight back. I've seen lower 'half price' offers - £2 - on perfect stock! Ridiculous. Probably on the same level as a Surf Washing Powder I found a few weeks ago, but didn't mention back then! That had been "reduced to clear" from £5.75 to still somewhat over £5! RTC price "Was £5.75 Now £5.10" marked on that. At the same time, same size packs, including the same version, of Surf were on half price £2.85 (still are - no good, avoid - still somewhat more than 10p/wash) elsewhere in the store!:rotfl: I trust someone who picked the RTC one would be charged the current offer of £2.85 and not £5.10 or whatever!:eek::rotfl: I expect 22 wash (whatever downsize they are now) to be £2.20 or lower. A "reduced" to clear £5.10 on them is just taking the proverbial I think!

EDIT: That's it - there's other items on the M list!:)

Was this based on guesswork or experience troutabout? I think both Munqui and I read this as 'Jellies are comparing well A v M' and as a result bought them today only to lose money based entirely on what you posted.:(

With age and time comes experience and you will soon get to know that anything msm says about any A v M comparison is unreliable and is not to be trusted till actual shops are done and comparisons confirmed.

If you have any thoughts on A v M comparisons in future it would be extremely helpful to all of us if you could confirm whether you have actually done those shops already or whether you have just noticed the possibility of a good comparison A v M.

    Thanks

  • Can anyone remember the date that Boots slash their sale prices by 90%? I managed to get most of what I needed today, my local has loads left and just wondered if anyone can remember when they slashed their prices again? X

i tried them yesterday and they compared at 2.95/1.00 but was charged 2.95 00s though and refused subs:D

If they were oos, you shouldn't have been charged anything.

I've ordered 4 times now & each time, they're unavailable, so I've still no idea whether they're £2.95 or £1 in the store they get picked in!
