its actually his piano exams...he's taken up to grade 7 and spent the last 18 months preparing for the grade 8...ideally he should have taken the exam back in the summer but because of Gcse's decided to delay to march of this year.

its now or never as after this sitting the pieces change so realistically this is his last shot at the current set pieces.

It was never his intention to get a music based job ....and he hasnt even taken music to A level as he wanted to concentrate on other subjects...music was a hobby and he also plays another intrument again to a reasonably high level which I can see being given up too...but he was always so determined to pass the grade 8 to prove to himself that he could!

Music used to be able to take him away from the pressures of school work etc but at the moment it seems to be the thing that tipping everything else, and I do fear that this may be the start of something bigger with the A level courses not working out either
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend

Thankyou, and sorry your household not a good one either, I know what your going through, my OH, is taking DS1 side, and I seem to be the bad one even though I didnt do anything, DS1 seems to know how to play us both off each other, and every time it works, and then I get mad with OH, because he never backs me up.

One of the main arguments at the moment is that DS1 wants a pitbike, but I dont want him to have one. OH has a motorbike and he thinks its okay for him to have this bike. My point just doesnt seem to get across.

My DS2, is a joy, never have crossed words with him, if he ever does anything wrong or naughty, he knows and always apologises, DS1, never apologises for anything, even if he knows he is wrong, would rather just never speak or hide the matter under the carpet.

maybe you need to use the bike as on incentive and compromise that if his behavior and attitude improves he can have the bike at a certain time in the future, explain to oh that ds1he has to prove he is mature and responsible enough before he is allowed the bike.

Ooo well done on the house sale. Is it a new house as in its being built?
My hobby much to mr monkeys annoyance is looking at show homes, they really "sell" them with the interiors.
Mr monkey always comes back :( that our house is more of a "home" complete with monkeys and clutter:) and full of ideas to knock down walls etc:eek: after we saw a new house in the summer I've banned him from accompanying me:)

We have been having this same argument for a while now, just shows that he cant be responsible enough for a bike, we have already tried this. :(

A is 8 comparable items if i remember correctly...and then some bits which compare nicely...sweets was always a winner for me...

Any limit to how many eggs and roll packs i should buy...?

Hi Bradley. Sorry things have been a bit:( welcome back

Only the shades 4pk White rolls compare,(easily missed as there are a few 4 pk variants) maximum of 9 each for the eggs I believe..for optimum apg.@ only compare up to 10 of each individual item.

The Nescaf! big 500g tub compares nicely v t if rtc instore shows online as £11 ish... Go to go so don't have time to explain... Just search nescafe if you drink it:)
