Another quick update - McV Jaffa Cakes 12 do work on Sains BM (sains.co.uk "x12 141g" vs a.com saying "150g"). I did, arguably, the opposite of what some voters in the Quebec/Scotland referendums are likely to have done. Once in the store ("the place where I made my choice":D), I had a quick reckless moment and thought I'll risk them! Yeah, gamble:eek::rotfl:! I thought "good luck" as I scanned the Jaffa Cakes.
I thought Heinz Spaghetti Sausages might not work - because they may say "&" rather than "Plus". That could have been a slashing down to a BM of £4 something with failed Jaffas but I thought, oh well, I'll go for it. However, they do work today. With the Jaffa Cakes, £11.75 shop and got £6.11 BM:D. (Kept more than half.) They didn't want to give a cond spend (who would blame them?) so it's £6.11 plus £5 Nectar next time = £11.11, maybe the same shop with a rejigging of the own brands:rotfl:. 11 different £1 items that are all 50p in A (do they have that many?) and an 11p banana. (Or a couple of £2s vs 98ps (each different) in place of four of the 11.)
[Strike]The Jaffa Cakes therefore could be the final 75p difference item:laugh: to make £10 from £20 (with cond spend I hope) from my previous shop (assuming prices for S and A are the same today). Then need 75p of own brands - you have to read each of my posts btw;) - so maybe 2 packs of Basics Cornflakes (30px2) and a bar of Sains Basics soap (15p) - there you are.[/Strike] EDIT: Boo:(. The Jaffas are on mbuy with the Lemon Cheesecake Creams that I bought, so can't use them to get 75p from them in the same shop. Back to drawing board:mad::rotfl:!
For info. (you won't be buying them on such a shop), the only other different items I used today, that work, are Seriously Strong Lighter Spreadable 125g and JW Tuna with Twist Lime Black Pepper sachet (£1.50vs 70p) - wish it were the big Tuna Light Salad again but sadly not (was £2.00 vs 70p now I believe £1.50 vs £1.98:eek:).
I'd better go as will never otherwise get to M and will start hitting the schools traffic.
EDIT: Now I've added "Boo", just saw a hoarding on the entrance to my Sains - that they are "working hard to lower prices".:(:(:(:(No! They keep trying to thwart my BMs. I wish they would all retire and not do any such work at all:rotfl:.

Good morning all - I think we all need copious hugs on an hourly basis the way this week, this month and this year is shaping up.
Well we finally have the empty nest back - there has been at least one of the brood here since December 19th so the house is now feeling very echoey.
Both lads went off yesterday leaving me with a parting gift of 2 loads of washing. Their bedroom needs doing as well, I was promised it was tidy, it isn't, but its not getting done today by me - I can have the rest of the house straight in the amount of time it would take to do that bedroom
In the meantime I have a tiny To Do list and then I can get back to the decluttering and downsizing.
The fox came again last night and he had stuffed pizza crusts, crammed as many as he could into his gob and ran off :j
Aww thanks mhoc when can I expect you.:rotfl:

New home panels trial "girls pants"
One pair to test for 3 weeks :rotfl:
I'm sure DD will be as impressed as she was with the 1 pair of trainer socks she got last year:)0 -
Sorry if this is old news but I note the Sanex is now £3.19 2 for 1 in T. Can anyone confirm whether the APG is picking this up please?
EDIT: Just checked my order from Sunday and it was N/A against T, so I suspect not. Ignore me!
The sanex at T is 'buy 2 cheapest item free' with different prices across the offer, that's why it's n/a. hope that helps!#CHEEKY :cool:0 -

My boss is driving me batty and I'm struggling to work with her but I'm also worried that if I change it will be a case of "out of the frying pan and into the fire" as has happened for me in the past
What I'm thinking is that if I can get a new job I can pretend to be off sick at my current job while I try out the new job to see if I like it before handing in my noticeDoes anyone know if there may be any consequences I haven't thought of with this idea? TIA
Evangeline1971 wrote: »Thanks, I'd better not then, OH said similar and said it was another of my hairbrained ideas
I'll still look around though and if I'm offered something else I'll have to make a decision if its worth moving on. I hate making decisions :undecidedEvangeline1971 wrote: »Thank you, it's nice to feel appreciatedI won't be away as such but may skim and lurk some days when I don't have so much time because I'm job hunting
I do worry though that sometimes I annoy people if I waffle on too much about glitches that are obscure and not that great a saving because I know I annoy people in real life like this, so it's nice to know at least some people want my postsI apologise if anyone feels I've done this and also for moaning about my problems too much
Good luck with your jobsearch, and keep us informed.0 -

We lost my Grandad 10 years ago and his flat cap is still in my Nan's magazine rack where he left it before he went into hospital. Nan takes it out to give it a dust every so often and puts it back:)
I was fortunate to see him the night he too slipped away in his sleep he was also brighter than he had been on previous hospital visits. :A
Sending a hug (()) to anyone who needs one today:A
Tears in my eyes now, my mum kept my dad's flat cap hung in the hall cupboard, it was the last thing along with her old hand knitted cardigan I took out of the bungalow last year. They are in a little box together somewhere.
I still have quite a few things I have not finished sorting, the xmas tree and decorations were harder to get to in the loft this Christmas as I have 2 boxes full of cards to go through that were my parents. I got rid of enough to start a small bonfire at the bungalow. But these are the ones that either I or my girls sent them.
I still have my mum's handbag sat in the corner of my lounge too. I had only bought it for her Christmas before she passed so she only really used it couple of weeks, Mr TS keeps moaning about it. I threw most of the rubbish out of it but it still has her glasses and rain hat in she used to put on after having her hair done. I did manage to get rid of my dad's glasses when I was clearing bungalow so I know time does heal. :A0 -

Sorry to hear about your dad VT xx
I am such a wally, whilst looking for cricfree the other day befopre realising how to get rid of the ads I have clicked something and a company called vidhaze have emptied my credit card this morning. I can't fault m&s, I rang them straight away and they have blocked my card. I'm only worried I have entered something on that site, my card details are stored on my phone through google. I'm hoping I am not liable for the costs, at no point did I authorise anything. so feeling a little bit
Darts was horrid last night, my friend who plays on our team died a couple of days after Christmas and so we played short and lost and the morale was not good. She had been diagnosed with cancer 4 weeks before, they gave her a big dose of chemo, but her heart gave out.
So today I will be eating enormous amounts of chocolate and ringing up about my boiler again!! if I see F28 on it again it will meet my mate the hammer!!
I am sorry to hear of the loss of your friend sarah. :A
And I hope your bank and boiler problems get sorted out soon for you. :grouphug:0
