Life is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

I'll still look around though and if I'm offered something else I'll have to make a decision if its worth moving on. I hate making decisions :undecided
Good thinking - they say it is always easier to find work when you are already in work (as it gives you extra confidence/can make an informed decision etc).

What I'm thinking is that if I can get a new job I can pretend to be off sick at my current job while I try out the new job to see if I like it before handing in my noticeDoes anyone know if there may be any consequences I haven't thought of with this idea? TIA
Thought I'd heard most ridiculous things in my life but this takes the biscuit
Because you don't get on with your boss doesn't mean you should take the XXXX out of two employers. There are thousands who would love just one job.0 -

That may be a little bit harshly put but, yes, I suppose it is a possibility.0 -

My boss is driving me batty and I'm struggling to work with her but I'm also worried that if I change it will be a case of "out of the frying pan and into the fire" as has happened for me in the past

I think you might just have to make the decision and handle the consequences lovely! I got fired once when I was fresh out of uni (I've told the story, he was a nasty little man with a Napoleon complex and delusions of grandeur) and in hindsight it was one of the best things that could ever have happened to me. At the time it didn't feel like it. I even cried on the phone and asked him if he'd reconsider
Thankfully he didn't and I got the pleasure of sending him an email from my new (established) company, telling him we didn't cast using 'unknown agencies'.

Oops - back-pedal:o:o: maybe I'm wrong and I ought to stay out of the matter (I'm seeing new posts posted on it) - it's not something I've thought of and I'm not seeing some of the wider consequences as may be usual of me.

Be prepared for the the electronic third degree if you sign up for the mycreditmonitor service - it is CallCredit behind it and they ask around 8 questions relating to your credit file before they provide a report (to confirm identity) - for me it included mobile phone taken out in September 2012 (I have no idea who with - I have multiple contracts/SIMs running at any one time), credit card in March 2012 (again, nope, I have "a few"), current account in January 2013 (ditto - have "many" etc) - how the bl00dy hell would I retain all that information including which month something was taken out and which account was opened in which month, that is what a credit report is for! Muppets . I now apparently have to send copies of documents to "prove" my identity
- I am me, honest!
With hindsight, I should have referred to one of my other credit reports to check the details, but I am sure I got more than half of them right!
