Hello all and a very belated happy new year to all .
I had a very scary day yesterday my DS1 who has additional needs had a tonic-clonic continual seizures for nearly 90 minutes. This was the first time it had happened. He is only 7 years old. I was so scared I thought he was going to die. He couldnt breath and the hospital had to put him in an induced coma to stop the seizure. I spent the night with him at hospital and my OH is with him tonight while Im at home looking after DS2. He had a CT scan that came out clear but he was being tested for encephalitis and meningitis but they don't believe it s that. This week they will be keeping him in all week and running tests EEG's and a MRI to check for why he had the seizure. They told me that even with the investigations it may not be epilepsy but its likely as he already has an existing brain injury with a right sided hemiplegia and ASD.

They have started him on a drug called carbemazapine he has to have it twice a day on top of the raft of antibiotics and antivirals they have given him as a precaution. I am so thankful to the NHS . They saved his life yesterday.

That must have been very worrying for you all. :(

Hope your ds1 has a speedy recovery. :A

Also the the various one apples I got did compare favourably but according to msm w didnt have those apples. Confusing

    Morning all

Day off today :) DS1 back to school and had tears in the playground so feeling a bit on edge today.
I've had some good news about my annual leave - it was worth standing my ground as I've now been granted 2 weeks in August :j:j:j

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Quality Street orange bars RTC down to 13p in my local Ts.

Troutabout - thinking of you and your Son. Hope he makes a speedy recovery x

I'm at work so can't do much. For anyone eating at Harvester on page 38 of Metro Newspaper is a 20% off when you spend £25 includes drinks but can't be used with the 'deals'
