Good instant/cup soup

I like Heinz squeeze and stir, doesn't have a powdery taste like cup a soup as its paste. Easily portable and storable and just needs mixing with boiling water (you do have to stir for quite a while though).

Itsu make some nice-all be it expensive, instant (add water) noodle soup based things and also miso soup sachets. Would recommend these for taste but sadly not for price! Would recommend a tin of Campbell's and just take the condensed quarter with you, add dried mushrooms and sundried dried tomatoes and even dried noodles to add texture.0

My local Poundstretchers sells Bachelors Cup-A-Soup for 50p a pack, far cheaper than I have seen anywhere else. It's been this price for more than a year now.0

I've seen on the Jamie Oliver site him making homemade cuppa soups that you can take with you then just add water when you're ready.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I think this thread is the reason people are so fat.
You can spend an hour or two making a batch of real soup for the week that's full of nutrition. Or you can go down the pound shop and buy a bag of chemical to put in some hot water.
People prefer quantity over quality.0 -

The OP wanted a question answered not a lecture on the world of obesity.PK! :money:0 -
:Bought some ainsley haricot today. The reason for instant soup was for a quick snack if I get a break during a 13+ hr shift! I don't always have access to a microwave. There is always someone giving a lecture! Yes I can make soup or take leftovers (homemade) but can't take my own microwave to heat it up:D. Also I can make it in a thermal mug and drink it in the car before I leave. And the odd cup soup makes you obese! On two a week I will go and buy some larger clothes in preparation for the weight gain;)0

Personally I can't stand powdered soups, nor many tinned soups either. However, that wasn't the question. Occasional soups made from powder and boiled water are not going to make people fat. I keep a couple of packs in for my son, who does like them. He doesn't eat them every day, or even every week, but they are handy for him to snack on occasionally.
The OP asked for advice, not judgement.0 -

Don't be stupid, people were fat long before this thread was started.
And long before instant soup was invented.
In fact, people were fat back in the days when the only way you could get soup was to spend an hour or two making "real soup".0 -
Don't think I'd take dietary advice from someone with that choice of username anyway! :rotfl:
