Good thing you didn't call an expensive plumber then!
Overflow, but you had removed the bath panel and no damp.
So trace the pipes and find that leak ...... but not tonight.0 -
Also could be the plug hole connector as I left water in the bath overnight and it was gone in the morning.!!
I'm trying to think logically here.0 -

Nope, that would cause a damp patch underneath bath or wet pipes,.
Lots of plugs would fail overnight.0 -
Water pipes which are leaking will leak all the time. Not just when the bath is filled. Its likely to be the waste pipes or connections.0

Is it definitely from under the bath?
I have had two previous instances of this. Once it was caused by poor sealing around the top of the bath to the wall. The other time the grout was cracked in the tiling half way up the wall and a little water was seeping through when the tenant showered.0 -

There is no shower so the water doesn't go above the bath line.
Well actually it has when I let it run through the overflow.
Possibly breaking the seal when weight is put on it.i.e. getting in the bath while full?0 -
You get in a full bath , break the seal , the water is then flowing over the side of the bath ........you didn't mention this, and having a soaking bathroom floor is unforgettable........ so it didn't happen ! Forget the seal round the bath , not the cause of the problem .0

If it only occurs when the bath overflow is working. Then it is likely that the overflow outlet is not sealing against the outside of the bath. This was the case when it happened to me.. The outside of the bath was rough fibre glass matting and the rubber sealing ring was letting by. The application of some mastic to the overflow cured the problem.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
