Help on repairing a Panasonic Lumix TZ35 camera

Hi, The lens will not close into the body of the camera and when I switch on I get an error message "System Error (Zoom)". Can I do anything to reset this at all does anyone know? If not, would you know whether this is repairable and at roughly what cost? And if so where is a good place to deal with?

thanks a lot

  • I am grateful for the invaluable advice given on this blog when I had a similar problem probably due to dust finding its wsy into the telescopic barrel mechanism ( replace the stars )

Since then I have always kept a pocket camera in a plastic bag inside its case .
