Dunelm online waste of time

Don't waste your time trying to buy from Dunelm online. I spent an hour last night choosing items and reserving them for pick up at a store that their website claimed had them all in stock. Only to get a call this morning to say that eight out of the ten items were not available, despite their website saying they were. When I queried this the shop said "oh yes this happens all the time". If that's the case wouldn't you think they would. get their website sorted out to have up to date stock levels to avoid customers wasting their time!

B&Q are as bad. That said I ordered some stuff from Dunelm to delivery to home on Xmas day came to house 2 days later. Plus got a little cash back from TCB. I do agree its annoying when ordering only to find there not in stock in store0

Totally agree - happens to me ALL the time I don't even bother with them any more.
The last time it happened I ordered at 11pm.They rang at 9 am and said none of my items were in stock..people must have bought them after I had ordered them and the online stock had not had time to reflect it..... WHO can buy in store between 11pm and 9am ??0 -
I had the same happen last year with click and collect but tried again this year hoping their system had been sorted out by now. Wrong! Had an email one morning saying item waiting for me followed by a phone call saying, 'sorry it's not!' I did email Customer Services to express by disappointment and got email back saying they are currently working on new ways to improve click and collect. After a year I won't hold my breath......0

It certainly seems that Dunelm online ordering system is rubbish.
A couple of weeks ago I reserved some pillows to collect in store.
OH went off to pick them up (not a special trip, just going past) and I had an email saying the order couldn't be fulfilled because they were out of stock.
I let OH know not to bother, then immediately checked their online website - probably about 30 minutes after I got the email.
The identical pillows were in stock!
Anyway, I decided not to reserve them again and just called into the store.
I had originally intended to call at Customer Services with my reservation number to ask if they were holding the pillows (even though they'd said the order couldn't be fulfilled) but the queue was massive.
So I just picked up the pillows and paid for them.

This is strange, as I have always had excellent service from Dunelm click and collect.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?
