Hi, I had double glazing installed in my flat about 18 months ago.
Recently, I was cleaning one of the windows.
Then, the following day a large crack appeared.(see pic)
I wasn't aware of the crack the day before.
Is this a common sort of problem with double glazing? Is it typical of glass cracking in a certain way?
The crack appears in a arc around the handle which suggests the window was closed too hard perhaps?
Also, is it guaranteed in some way by the company who installed the windows?
Thanks, and Happy New Year.

Also, supposing I have to repair it myself, any idea how much it'd cost me to replace the window? Can I just replace the inner pane of glass? Or would I have to replace the whole window?0

The glass will not be guaranteed after 18 months I'm afraid.
You cannot replace one pane of the window you have to replace the complete double glazed unit.
Depends on the size & where you live in the country.
Maybe around 150 GBP

Apparently it's not uncommon for one pane of double glazing to crack at this time of year.0
