    People with babies want baths.

All depends if you are staying put or moving - I presume your ensuite shower room already has a toilet. If so get rid of the bath and shower, how often will you really make use of the shower downstairs? I would probably look to put the washing machine in it to free up kitchen space.

Go for it remove the bath.. 80% of people now prefer a shower i.e its cleaner, uses less water, and if elderly can use a seat and use far easier than a bath.
And if you ever moved i wouldnt not buy a house due to not having bath id just fit one.
there are some gorgeous units out here built in basins and wc units in loads of colours.

I much prefer a shower however a recent problem meant I haven't been able to bear the water from a shower on my skin and have had to have a bath.

I wouldn't remove the only bath in the house, but would put a shower over it for guests.
