Replacement laptop

I'm looking to replace my wife's Toshiba Satellite laptop. It's running on an Intel i3 370M processor with 4GB RAM and a 320GB HD.
However, I'm rather confused by the current array of Intel processors with 'N' prefixes and 'U' and 'M' suffixes. If I understand correctly, the 'U' processors are lower powered to give better/longer battery use, but as she seldom uses it unplugged, this doesn't really matter.
So can someone enlighten me so that I can make a better educated choice/decision please.
Thanks in anticipation.

what does she use it for? If it's just general stuff, that spec is more than adequate, it probably just needs a good cleanup or reinstall of windows.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
^^^^^ And get rid of some Toshiba bloatware too0

You haven't asked a question.
Being rude to people isn't going to get you very far, there are answers in your previous thread.0
