The site says there's over 18,000 products in the new catalogue, so I'm guessing it somewhere just above that.

No idea if that's right obviously.

1. The 'Tower Teaser' Promotion from Argos (the "Promotion") runs from 28th July 2007 to 5th August 2007 (the "Promotion Period"). The Promotion is open to all UK consumers aged 18 or over ("the Participants"), excluding employees and their families of Argos and Home Retail Group, its agents, or anyone professionally connected with this promotion. The promotion is not open to residents of the Republic of Ireland.
2. The Promotion can be entered online via the website https://www.argos.co.uk/thetowerteaser, by SMS message to 81025 or by post to Argos Tower Teaser Promotion, Dept. 10581, PO Box 999, TRING HP23 4ZP. No other entry route is available. Participants entering via SMS will be required to pay their standard network operator rates and should gain permission if they are not the bill payer. Participants entering by post should note that only original Promotional Leaflets are acceptable and no responsibility is accepted for applications lost, delayed, illegible or damaged. Proof of posting is not taken as proof of receipt.
3. The Participant must complete their details in full following the instructions on the Promotional Leaflet for the method of submission that they have chosen.
4. No purchase necessary.
5. Entry into the Promotion is limited to one per person, and per email address / household / mobile phone number. Any Participant attempting multiple entries will be removed from the Promotion.
6. Participants are required to estimate the number of products in the "Argos Tower", including duplicates. The "result" is pre-determined and will be held by an independent adjudicator. The adjudicator's decision is binding and no correspondence will be entered into concerning it.
7. There is one top prize of £18,000 of goods from Argos. The prize will be won by the participant who has correctly estimated the result or who is closest to the result. There will be 5 x 2nd prizes of Sony Bravia 32" LCD TVs, 10 x 3rd prizes of Silentnight Double Divan Beds, 10 x 4th prizes of Vodafone Sony Ericsson W880i Mobile Phones, 5 x 5th prizes of Sony Wide Screen Sat Navs, 5 x 6th prizes of 4GB Video Walkmans, 5 x 7th prizes of Sony Cybershot Digital Cameras, 10 x 8th prizes of Virgin LG Dolphin Mobile Phones, 25 x 9th prizes of Lexmark All-in-one Photo Printers, 100 x 10th prizes of Novar Door Bells, 20 x 11th prizes of Tefal Dolce Gusto Coffee Machines, 20 x 12th prizes of Timberland Watches, 20 x 13th prizes of George Foreman GRV80 Grills, 20 x 14th prizes of Tefal Quick Cup Drinks Makers, 20 x 15th prizes of Tefal Vita Cuisine Steamers, 100 x 16th prizes of Optimus Prime Transformers and 100 x 17th prizes of Fibre Optic Lamps to be won by the 475 participants with next closest estimates. In event of any ties, independently supervised random draws will determine the winners.
8. The closing date for receipt of entries is midnight of 12th August 2007.

Looking at that pic the number of products could be anything. No need for it to be anywhere nearr 18,000 it could be as low as a few hundred. Anyway it says how many of our 18,000 products are in the tower so it shouldn't be over 18,000 right.
