Wanting to cancel smartphone insurance but not sure how?

My younger brother has just come out of a very controlling relationship.
Story short for now - he wants to cancel the insurance that was taken out on the contract phone he was paying for for his (ex)girlfriend.
Problem is, he doesn't know much about it other than he had to pay for it. He said she took it out & entered all the details.
So he doesn't know if it's in his name or hers. If there's an account number. An email address that's tied to it. He knows nothing other than it comes out of his bank via direct debit each month & that it's with 'protect your bubble'.
How can he go about getting this cancelled? I don't suppose he can go to P.Y.B & say hey i'm paying you guys each month but i don't know any of the details other than how much you're charging me because i had nothing to do with it.
Oh & the payments have been going on for some months.

Get him to call Protect Your Bubble and give them his name, if they say they don't have a policy under that name say thanks very much and put the phone down.
Then he can simply cancel the direct debit with his bank, it'll then be his exes problem to continue paying for the policy if she wants it.
If they say they do have a policy under his name, ask to cancel it.0 -
There should be an account number linked to the account. You may need to contact the bank to get that info.
Depending in his position and credit rating. He should try and contact them to explain he will be cancelling the payment and they need to contact the account holder to obtain new payment details.
If they say its not his account and wont speak to them it maybe an option to cancel the payment and await any letters..
Dont jump into that without checking first though. It may affect his credit in the future.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
