All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Bluetooth wouldn't have anywhere near enough bandwidth to stream video and audio content.
The simplest way to hook your up your PC to your TV is via an HDMI cable, assuming your PC has an HDMI port. These can be had for £1 from pound shops.
You can also stream wirelessly using devices such as Apple TV, Miracast and Chromecast. Be aware that these devices can be limited in what you can stream.
If you just want to see what you see on your PC on your TV, an HDMI cable is the cheapest and easiest option by far.0 -
A lot depends on what you want to watch?
I can explain a system that is foolproof , if you want to watch MP4s etc that you have downloaded.
I tried , the chromecast , etc dongles and at best found them to be flaky .
option 1: cost £10
buy a £10 "now tv box" and modify it to accept PLEX , install plex on your pc , sit in your armchair , and watch.
option 2: , my choice
SUMVISION micro 4 £35 , again , sat in your armchair with remote , however with win 8.1 , you can click on a file and say "play to" ,
however the HDMI lead might be easier0
