It gives you an extra competition to enter, not an extra entry into the comp you've just shared.

It's a tricky one to explain but basically they allow you to enter a certain number of comps per day per site. Sharing just increases this certain number.

Saying that though, there's barely any point in sharing these days as most mags have either 25 or 35 comp limits, but a while back when some of them only allowed 6 then I used to share them to get extras. Say for example Marie Claire might have had 10 comps I wanted to enter, I would share 4 of them to get 4 extra entries to add to the allowed 6, to give me 10.

    Does that make sense?

It's rare I find more than about 10-15 on any given site that I want to enter, so no need for me to share now.

It doesn't give you an extra entry in the competition that you are sharing, but if say the website gives you 25 entries and there are 26 that you would like to enter, then if you share one, you are able to enter all those that you want to. Hope this makes sense. I share some by twitter if I need to, but even though I get the extra entry I need, I never see the tweet on my timeline.

I've been doing the daily mag comps since I started comping and it has been my best source of wins.

I do them everyday usually, though not if I'm away.

Since they upped the entries to 25 I haven't needed to share, as I only enter for the things I want, so generally there's 10-12 on some, and 2-6 on others...
  • I entered once per magazine, per day and I recently won the £4k voucher Christmas competition they were running with NOW magazine.
  • I've just started them too, was going to ask about the extra entry thing so thanks for clearing that up!

I do the click to wins each day and have won 3 times with them.

    2014 - 21 wins :) 2015 - 3 wins :)

Yes - when Marie Claire etc were only 6 entries, I used to share sometimes by email. Originally I would send to my own email address but I never got the emails and eventually discovered you could put any text at all in the email box and you'd still get the extra entry (I would just put "123" or whatever.)
2018 wins: Aspinal of London jewellery box, Boudavida gym outfit, HP Pavilion laptop, The List party tickets, All Points East festival tickets, Kiehls moisturiser, By Terry cc serum, Nars Liquid Bronzer, Benefit highlighter, Nars illuminator, Fresh advanced lip trio set, Cetaphil sample set, signed copy of My Absolute Darling by Gabriel Tallent
  • Also to answer the post generally - I do mag dailies when I have time. I'm picky so certainly not every one of them. Sometimes I'll do them daily for a week in a row, sometimes I'll enter only once. In two and a half years of doing them off and on that way, I have won twice (one prize worth £60 and one worth £250).

Oh yes, the original question was about whether they were worth doing and if we'd won off them!
I've been doing them almost daily for just over 2 years. In any given month I'll probably manage to enter on about 25 days, I do all the magazines but not all the comps as I only enter for what I'd like to win. I'd say I enter anything between 3 and 12 on each mag.

I've only won twice from them. First was a £100 Monsoon voucher, the other time was a picnic hamper. When you look at it like that, hardly worth the time and effort but I mostly enjoy doing them and it's part of my morning routine. That said, some of the "advent" ones that are running for up to 50 days are starting to get a bit dull!

Never won a mag daily, I don't do them that often though ... If i've done all the next days comps then I might go in and do the one's I'm interested in, but it's probably about once a week ... mainly at the weekend I have time to look at them (if it runs for 30 days, I'll probably have 5 entries in each site that hosts the comp, so maybe 25-30 entries in each of the comps that I'm interested in), same with the CTW's (I've won one of them, was a Blu-Ray boxset).

I wouldn't necessarily give up on Twitter so quickly ... I've never won anything on Twitter but it's so quick and easy to enter I think it'd be a bit daft to give up on it without trying. I've said this before, You (or at least I do) get a bit of a buzz knowing you have so many green ticked items that end tomorrow as opposed to maybe only having 2/3rds that number if you disregard the Twitter comps. ("OOhhhhh, I've 50 (for example) entries ending tomorrow, I'm bound to win something! ... You usually don't, but by the time you've given up hope on getting any DM's or emails, your looking at the next days green ticks thinking "OOhhhhh, I've 50 (for example) entries ending tomorrow, I'm bound to win something!" :) ) ... it's a vicious cycle until you do win something, but then that invigorates you again.

I would give it a go, you've nothing to lose and it takes seconds to enter a twitter comp.
The chances of winning an ITV comp are pretty slim, but I bet it doesn't stop you entering them :) (bigger prize on ITV sure, but there are thousands more twitter comps) ... depends if it's only the big wins you're looking for I suppose.

Besides which, you get extra entries on the RC / Gleam comps for Twitter, so get Twitter just for that and then if you see any Twitter comps you can enter them anyway.

I do the Daily Mags but not the click to wins.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's the difference, please? I thought the mag dailies and click to wins were two names for the same thing!

I sometimes, when I have time, go through the lists of prizes you can enter daily in say, Chat or Marie Claire. Are they not CTWs??
