Does the number of credit cards I have affect my ability to apply for more current accounts, especially if the number of current accounts I already have runs into double figures?

Presumably to get these you must have an existing good credit rating which determines their decision. However, if you got a bunch of them recently the credit searches will show so might have a detrimental slant on it. If on the other hand they have been accumulated over time the credit searches will have been wiped so ... good to go.0
