WTC/CTC if i give up work??

There may be a possibility i will have to give up work.
I currently work in a restaurant as front of house staff which means waiting on, lost of walking and carrying stuff, I am in agony every evening at the end of each shift, and that is after taking my meds, but then also in the morning i can barely walk and it takes a good couple of hours before the plantar pin disappears enough for me to walk "normally" but still a lot of pain.
So anyway, I was wondering if i rang WTC to let them know i was not working anymore, bearing in mind hubby works full time and i get the disability element of TCs, would they review my claim straight away or would i have to wait until the end of the financial year??
As Tax credits are based on the previous years income, but surely if i was to go to nil income they wouldnt expect us to do without my wage and then also keep us on the rate we are on which takes into account my wage??

I recieve lower rate care and higher rate mobility, PIP hasnt been launched in my area just yet, probably due to be rolled out towards the end of 2015-16.0

What was your joint income 13/14 and what will be estimated income for 14/15 (include your income until you stop work)
as it is well through the tax year it may just be the removal of the disability element but no increase based on income0 -
So if i get in touch with them and tell them I am no longer working, will i be able to request a re assesment, we cannot really afford to lose my wage which is about 700 a month, but i physically cannot afford to keep working as it doing me a lot of harm.

Tax credits work in tax years. Your income for this year will reduce by £2,100 (700 x 3) which is less than the disregard so will not trigger any increase in award. If you answer the questions about 13/14 and 14/15 income, others will be able to lgive an estimate what change there would be0 -

I thought to be entitled to high rate mobility, you couldn't normally do any 'lots of walking'?0 -
Upto 20 meters mobilising with an aid without pain/falling over/breathlessness. OP mentioned pain I( believe.0

Yep, lots of pain, arthritic knees, Fibromyalgia, chrinic fatigue...even on high doses of pain relief im still in constant pain x0 -

Not really, they have already accomodated me regarding my working hours and the tasks i can do so to try and alter them even more would cause a lot of disruption.0
