microsoft update problem.......

Has anybody managed to sort out the issue regarding the latest update from windows.
KB3024777 & KB3004394.

I've read about the fixes but unfortunately on checking add remove programs neither of the above show up so I cannot delete them.

But every time I shut down the computer it says its updating and on re starting I end up back to square one.
It doesn't install the update!

HELP!!!!!!!!!
If i could i would, but i cannot so i wont, but maybe one day i will.

I've not looked at this to find a solution as yet, but I am replying to say my backup laptop is experiencing this same issue.

I haven't experienced this problem myself but you could try this.

Go to https://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024777 and download either the X64 (64 bit OS) or X86 (32 bit OS) package.

To check which OS you have open Windows Explorer and right-click on COMPUTER (just above your C: drive). Then select properties.
Confirm you have Service Pack 1.

Your download folder should contain the downloaded file.
Open it by right-clicking it then select "Run as Administrator" and follow the instructions.

Just clicking it should work but given your problems I would go as Administrator.
