Economy 7 to economy 10 meter

Unless you have a Smart Meter you'l need a new meter.
Can I ask why you are requesting this change?
You'll get more hours off peak but the peak price for e10 is generally higher than e7 and until you have the meter installed you can't be guaranteed what hours of off peak you'll get. so you may end up with a completely different off peak set up, not just a longer one.
I.e your E7 may be 7 hours solid over night eg. 10pm - 5am.
Your E10 may be split into 3 chunks eg. 10pm - 3am, 5am-8am, 3pm-6pm.0 -
If your E7 has a timer then no new meter - the clock is simply altered to the new timeframe, but as this requires seals to be broken and re-set, they may opt to install a SmartMeter instead (with all the pitfalls that engenders).
I don't believe the E10 rates are worth it, as your existing E7 power becomes more expensive.0 -
Thanks for the reply and so sorry for delay, wanted to change to e10 because e7 goes through the night so warm when I get up, but I am out all day, when I get in at night no heat left really so I feel a boost would work for me. I have very little choice for heating as storage heating is all I have apart from an open fire in the living room.0

Wrong end of the telescope I suggest. Badly used, understood or allocated storage quantity night storage heating is your problem - it will still be your problem on a different and more expensive tariff.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
