Sky email nightmare.....

A friend has moved to a static home (like a large caravan), they have a BT phone line and Sky broadband. They have a new desktop.

They have had problems with the BB working when it likes although it is working at the moment.

The bigger problem is email, it has worked, but only for a couple of days over the last 6-8 weeks.

I am by no means an expert, I have had a play and sending and receiving email to themselves appears to work. I used Outlook and Incredimail and sent and retrieved emails.

Assuming it was now working, I sent one to myself which has not arrived, they have sent more today and non have arrived, I have sent them emails which also have not arrived.

In brief they can send and receive emails to themselves, but not to/from anyone else.

They have had numerous so called `experts` involved, spent hours on the phone to Sky/BT and still no further forward.

As you can probably imagine, this is driving them crazy.

Anyone have any suggestions where the problem might be???

Firewall?
Antivirus sometimes alters settings for checking mail - are these settings ok?

I've set up dozens of email accounts but without seeing the screenshots or at least being talked through the problem, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.
