Will his IB stop?

Just read something similar on another thread, but don't want to hijack, so can anybody clarify please?
My husband currently receives IB. A couple of months ago he was awarded DLA at the higher rate. He has this week heard that he has been granted ill health early retirement and will receive a monthly pension of £300 per month.
Does this mean his IB will stop or be reduced? If reduced, by how much?
Thanks, Carol

His IB will be reduced by 50p for every £1 of pension over £85 per week.
If as you say he gets £300 per month then if my maths is right then he should not receive any reduction of IB.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

Thanks for the info, thought he would be given by one hand and taken by the other for a while!!

Noproblem - this was all explained to my husband when he first claimed IB; he also thought he would get nothing as he has a Teachers' Pension, but is it just reduced by the amount over £85 - 50p for every £1 over that amount.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

SDW - you are awesome. I asked a similar question of behalf of my sister. You replied that (with the figures I gave ) she would lose around £45 per week. She's just sorted it out with the IB people (who first told her that she would receive a "nil" benefit). The amount she'll have deducted is just over £46. Wow, how close is that to your figure? Thanks for your help.0

Glad to be of assistance; I worked it out with the calculator as my maths is not that reliable!
Glad it's all sorted for her.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
