Got mine today also, a very dirty and slightly battered box, but looks fine inside. For some reason the instruction manual was handed to be by the delivery driver (it wasnt in the box).
Wont get to try it out till next month when i move but looks like a bargain to me!0 -
apparently its got an optical TOSLink and Co-axial in. does this mean we can connect our ps3 and sky box to it for surround sound? if so can someone kindly explain how.
sal :j
Mine arrived just as I was getting home, the box was very dusty but it all seems to be there
I dont think we can grumble for the money
Thanks to all

is that a coaxial/optical output or input on the dvd player? Interesting if its an input. Totally agree fantastic value for money even if we can only get surround sound via the dvds and not other equipment i.e. the tv, sky, games consoles etc.
Anyone in the know give an indication on how I can get surround sound for my sky and ps3 cheaply? Wonder if theres any cheap bit of kit which will complement the bush kit (speakers) etc.0 -
on the back of the DVD player are the following sockets
Scart
Composite video out
S-Video out
Coaxial out
Optical out
Front left out
Front right out
Centre out
Surround left out
Surround right out
Sub woofer out
on the amp is the following
Speakers out (front right, front left, centre, rear left & rear right)
Audio in (front left, front right, centre, rear left, rear right and sub woofer)
there is a scart cable (dvd to tv)
audio cables (dvd to amp)
2 remotes (dvd and amp)
4 batteries ( 2 for each remote)
according to some sites it should be region free out of the box
but if not then
Multi-Region:
[*]This player should be region free straight from the box If the player fails to be multi-region then you may wish to try the following instructions:
[*]Press the Open button on the remote
[*]Using the remote press 2, 8, 1 and 2
[*]Press the Close button on the remote For VCD playback:
[*]Put a VCD in tray and Close
[*]Press the Goto button repeatedly until the VCD menu appears
[*]Press Stop
[*]Press the Goto button - a time bar should appear
[*]Press 0 then Play
Hope this helps

Does anyone know the best way to connect my MP3 player to this? Previously I had a 3.5mm to stereo input lead which went into an aux input on the back of my old subwoofer, but I can't do that on this one. Is it possible to connect it to two of the inputs, and if so which ones? Alternatively, is there a different kind of lead I can use? You're my badger now Dave.0

So in light of this info, can anyone tell me if you can have the TV sound or any other device running through the speakers??

Mine and my Dads were both delivered on Wednesday afternoon, boxes all clean and intact! lol
Got mine out before and had a fiddle with it......tooooo complicated to set up for me so I'll leave it for OH to sort outTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
The amp. is built into the subwoofer - it has 5.1 phonos in (six of them i.e. one for each channel e.g. front left) and hence expects the DVD player to do the Dolby Digital decode.
There are no options for other inputs to the amp.monkeymatt wrote: »So in light of this info, can anyone tell me if you can have the TV sound or any other device running through the speakers??
