Mayonaise, not just for salads

A friend of mine uses mayo in her chocolate cake recipe!! Its the best cake I have ever eaten and I was asking her for tips.
I nearly choked on it when she told me but it makes sense. Don't have a recipe though.0 -
Also saw on a cleaning programme that if you have old stickers on things (kids stickers)
They are a !!!!!! to get off but if you rub mayo all over them and leave for a bit.
wipe with a warm cloth and hey presto they come off.0 -

Mayonaise is nice mixed with smoked paprika and toasties dipped in!A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

a couple of tasty ways to use up mayonaise
mix equal amounts of mayo and cream cheese (philly) with any of the following for a tasty dip for crisps or crudities
chives
garlic (crushed) and fresh or dried herbs
finely chopped onion
mint
you can also use it to marinade meat before cooking on the barbie - just add spices like curry powder or some strong bbq sauce
or for coronation chicken just add curry powder to mayo (keep tasting as you add the curry powder) and stir in cooked chicken. lovely in baguettes with salad or you can serve with cold rice for picnics.0 -
Mayo, Cream cheese or mascapone, spring onions, ham/chicken, any salad dressing (I like French) and hot boiled potatoes. Chuck it all in stir up and serve with sausages....hmmmn....

add a little water to thin it out then add tabasco sauce and use on vegies eg broccolli0

If your kids have headlice, smother the hair with mayo, and cover tightly with layers of clingfilm. It suffocates them (apparently). Yuk! I'd prefer it on a ham salad buttie!******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
