Successful PCN Appeal & Cancellation

Good morning. Following your useful guidelines, I successfully contested my fathers parking charge, which he received in Lidle for overstaying by 29 minutes. I emailed Athena Parking the following appeal: The driver contests this parking charge as the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Equality Act 2010 have been contravened, by it's treatment of vulnerable people. The driver and passenger have conditions, which impact on their mobility. As such, service providers have a duty under these acts to make reasonable adjustments to allow disabled people to use their services. Therefore please cancel the PCN due to the contravention of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the Equality Act 2010. Thank you. The cancellation letter was sent out the day after my email. Thank you to the forum for your excellent advice.

Well done you! Good job done on behalf of your father.
I've not previously seen a 'cave-in' offered so rapidly, and purely on disability issues/Equality Act and with such a relatively short appeal.
By the way, the DDA 1995 has been replaced by the EA 2010.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
