Barclaycard Initial

Hi started of with a £1200 limit.
I requested an increase twice over pat 18 month and it went up to £1500.
Letter through door yesterday.
They are raising it again from £1500 to £2300, only this time I have not asked for it they just did it.
I must be doing something right?
I should except this new limit as it will look better on a Mortgage app if Barcklays trust me with more money?
Has any body ever had their interest reduce too?
Thanks guys

They allowed me to reduce my APR by 2% recently. My partner called them and they upgraded him to a Freedom Rewards card which meant an APR drop of 8% (to 21%), an increased limit, and the fact it's no longer a 'basic' Barclaycard.0

Good good. I might ring them.0

You could try Barclays eligibility checker to see what the results bring back, tick you don't currently have a card though.

*its only a soft check but will give you an indicator if they are likely to change it over to another card. All that glitters is not gold.0 -

Applying for credit shortly before applying for a mortgage is not a recommended course of action. As suggests that money is tight. Not the basis to take on a 25 year commitment.0 -
Thrugelmir....I am not applying for credit. I already have it, they are raising my limit with me even asking0

Yes to clarify, when my partner was upgraded he was sent a new card for his existing account, no new account was opened.
The increase and APR reduction were based on the relationship with Barclaycard and were not subject to new credit checks.0 -
When I took out my Barclaycard Initial earlier on in the month to take use of the £20 they were offering through Quidco it said that the account would be reviewed within twelve months and that the interest rate charged would be reduced with a possible increase in the card's credit limit so long as I didn't exceed the limit and made repayments on time. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0
