Should I pay the whole invoice now?

We've had two guys in fitting the kitchen. They did three days before Christmas and really rushed to get the main bits finished
They're due back on the 10th to finish off
They left an invoice for the whole amount. Should I pay it all? Or part?
I've never had tradesmen in before so I'm not familiar with the etiquette
Thank you

I wouldn't be paying any of it until it is completely finished and you are completey
satisfied with it.
I don't see how they can leave an invoice when the job is still on going.
My husband was a decorator for many many years, he finished a job, then sent the invoice and
expected to be paid within 14 days.
Does is say anything on the invoice about due date.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Agree with McNeff,
If they have invoiced for the full amount then they should not require paying until the job is complete. I sometimes have progress/stage payments which will be for a percentage and the balance due on completion.
I also have payment terms of 14 days after invoice date.0 -
Agree as above - I would pay immediately following satisfactory completion.Forgotten but not gone.0

Thanks all. That's helpful.
I was out at work when they finished so they didn't 'ask' for payment as such, just left the invoice on the side0
