2 Rate THTC top-up Meters

Options
I have just moved in to a small one bedroom house in Aberdeenshire and am finding that the electricity is costing me massive amounts.

I don't use any power at night and very little during the day as I live alone but the meter is clocking up about 15 - 18 pounds PER DAY.

It's an SSE meter but it can't be right. does anyone have any advice?

Thanks

it might have a debt on it, are you using the existing key or did you register for supply and get a new key?

probably late - but came across this, so - keep a note of the number of units you are using and then compare with the cost to get a rough unit cost - the standing charge can vary but won't be making up much of the £18 a day (unless you are clearing someone else's debit as mentioned above).

If you know who the supplier is you can google their pre-pay tarriffs and see if what you come up with is close. If it is miles off you should get in touch.

    It does sound pretty steep!
