Is it correct to add Lumens for adjacent bulbs?

Would it be correct to say that three 330 bulbs arranged in triangular formation in one light fitting yield 990 Lumens?

I think you may be correct is if they are physically next to each other, but it is like putting a 1k heater in each of three rooms, then saying you have a 3k heater.

Lux though would be different. For it to really add ups as lumen, all the light has to come from one source (or point)

Yes, you can add them together. But one 660Lm bulb will be more efficient than 2 330Lm ones.
