Two Amex Cards?

I was always under the impression that you could have two Amex cards as long as they are different types e.g. one Avios and one Cashback.


My Platinum Cashback Everyday first year is almost up, have earned £130 cashback so far, so worth doing again.


I was looking at the British Airways Credit Card and did the MSE checker and it said 0% and then the Noddle one and it said not eligible.


So, can I not have a second one or can the soft search checkers just not tell the difference between the different types and just says I have an amex so therefore cant have another one?


Cant see anything on their website about it.

You can have different cards even within the same class, I have known a few people who have both Gold preferred and Platinum chargecards for the benefits of the platinum but the enhanced MR points awards of the Gold for travel/ supermarket spends.

The "checkers" that are anywhere other than on the card issuers own site are only guestimating the chances of success and should not in any way be taken as accurate. Search on here and you will find several threads about it.

Personally have 3 separate accounts with Amex at the moment, the Charge Card that is my main card for spending and the other two were taken for their promotional offers.
