Popping in here to say hello and subscribe! Congratulations - not long now till March - do you know what you are having?
! :-)
Thank you! We left it for a surprise because we never found out with our first either. Am now regretting it terribly, keep thinking I wish we found out now. Have loads of baby clothes saved from my little girl and really want to start washing and ironing them but don't want to waste my time if it's a boy lol! The nesting is kicking in; 7wks+4days to go....
Bet you have your hands full with twins, hats off to you there! Sometimes I struggle to find enough time in the day with only one let alone two.
Well done on your overpayment still, it's better than nothingMFW 2015 #49. Target: £4,000 - Overpaid: £2,900

This month just gets better and better. We seem to have so much more money we can account for. Still can't get my head around the fact that by budgeting and managing our money it seems to go further! Just had £200 transferred from hubby to "use as I will". Basically, I'll be saving it til the end if the month. See what my payday figures are and use for savings/overpaying.
My husband was TUPE'd last year and this resulted in a £500pcm drop in on-call rates. Yet, we thought things would be tighter for us based on that but with this new money management starting this year, it's really highlighted where we can stop unnecessary frivolous spending.
Bought a new carrycot for the pushchair yesterday. John Lewis were quoting £160 and all my ebay/gumtree searches for a cheaper one resulted negativeuntil last night!!! Only found THE carrycot for sale, brand new, unused, unopened box for sale on ebay at £100. A baby shop was selling in reduced as an undelivered item. Even at best ebay had it for £140 new by another seller (still not good enough discount for me!) Bonus, is that it only cost £3.98 because PayPal had £96.02 credit. Just to purchase a second car seat now, that's the next expense.
Fuel: first time filling up Jan - £62.00 to fill up, was very low, literally only 20 miles left. Usually costs around £18 more. Glad fuel prices are coming down. Husband also said he had a 4p off a litre voucher which was great to hearMFW 2015 #49. Target: £4,000 - Overpaid: £2,900

And will be starting my own diary at the weekend now we've been approved on a remortgage.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

I did find out as I'm a bit of a control freak :-) and needed to know what I needed to get.. I'm so not patient either.. lol
You'll know soon enough and it will be a lovely surprise!
Twins keep me busy, but I know no different and I wouldn't have it any other way.. we waited a long time for them to arrive.

Wouldnt the childcare vouchers be better coming out of the highest earners income. The vouchers are deducted before tax & NI, thus lowering the amount of tax paid the higher earner will pay. Finally dealing with debt: 01.01.2015 -£10,562.:(

Thank you Kittycat1981 - I realise I missed it off my first post for our SOA. Husband is signed up for £124 childcare vouchers too.
Unfortunately, the vouchers themselves aren't enough to reduce earnings for where we would like it to...just the other day he had the pleasure of doing HMRC self-assessment for child benefit and we need to pay back some of our child benefit entitlement. Leaves me wondering if I should bother claiming it with March baby. If I claim it think I'll just have it transferred into a separate account and leave it there until the end of the tax year for any CHB overpayment.
Friday ending up being such a rubbish day. Popped into town and got a parking ticket. Grr! First ever parking ticket too. Was the usual parking place I use for popping in quickly. It's 30min stay (encourages me to do my errands and leave, no browsing or impulse buying), for some reason I told myself I had 1 hour parking. Can only blame it on my hormones / baby brain....6wks+6days left. Paid it today so £25 not £50.MFW 2015 #49. Target: £4,000 - Overpaid: £2,900

Children are priceless and the difficult struggle / journey makes it all the more worthwhile. We didn't wait a long time for ours but I lost a baby 2013 and it made TTC again an emotional time for me. I still feel very anxious now. Don't think that'll go away until baby is safe and well in my armsand its getting closer and closer now.

Mission today is to sort out some batch cooking for dinners in the week. Think I'll have the slow cooker on and the oven. Big cottage pie to make and a big pot of slow cook chicken casserole.MFW 2015 #49. Target: £4,000 - Overpaid: £2,900
