Read your diary just to see if I could help with the DMP; sounds like you are pretty much on the bare edge as it is. Luckily seems as though the DH has a job and a credit possible? .
My quick summary is that maybe you are trying to live a life you can't afford at the moment? It is ok to say 'I'm sorry we can't afford that'. Someone once said to me; tell them its not in my spending plan this week/month/year, makes it sound like are you good with money then:-)
Re the someone Ex-friend trying to help you out, have the £20 back, then you are quits, put it towards your EE bill, then put them out of your life again. If you want to take the other money, put it in the baby's fund separate so you can decide whether or not to spend it.
Keep going, you've done well this year up til now.Debt -it's a fight that I'm winning, dealing with debt one day at a time.

Hi Milocat,
Your certainly never alone when on MSE.. all these lurkers and readers are keeping up with you and wishing you well on your journey..
Now...
I have read all your diaries and you have certainly had some ups and downs and I am very very sorry for your losses. However...
Your debt however doesn't appear to have gone down throughout your diary process.. This can only mean one thing... Your budget isn't working and your OH needs to pull his weight more. I notice a few times in your posts your refer to buying new clothes/amps/trip to Switzerland... So you do have the money you are just spending it in the wrong way..
Now don't get me wrong I am very deeply in debt and have been for at least 20 years, probably before you were born but I am now very happily in a dmp and my debt is finally going down. You need to do a budget and then stick with it. Have you done a spending diary, they are certainly a wake up call as to where all the pennies go.. mine go into sainsbury's pocket..:D This may be a good place for you to start, say from 1 January.. I am also glad to see you have allocated some money for savings/emergency fund this is an essential but must, repeat must be kept separate from your everyday spending account.
I have subscribed and will follow your journey and really hope that 2016 is the year for you to turn around your finances..
I wish you and yours a very merry christmas :xmastree:

God I'm so hungry, but I can't bear to eat anything.
I'm 3 weeks late. And I don't know if its stress, because the week of the 18-25th of December is usually the worst week of my year, or if I'm pregnant. Which is sort of my worst nightmare, because we can't afford another baby, and I would like a summer where I am not pregnant or fat.
I've been deep cleaning the downstairs of my house in preparation for Christmas, and the arrival of my FIL and GIL. GIL is a cantankerous old woman so I have a lot of nerves that she will be full of judgement regarding the state of my house.
I've asked for JL vouchers for Christmas, did I mention that already?
I desperately want to be able to get a new stroller for the baby and I want a handbag that I can keep nappies in that won't leak. It seems really selfish to be thinking about things I want rather than things I need. I wish there was a way around it, but I suppose its my fault for getting into debt to begin with.
Sorry I've not been writing much, my EEEE key is broken on this laptop, and the whole thing is slowly falling apart. (It's held together with duct-tape) which makes writing HARD.
Hi milocat,
I would suggest a pregnancy test is a need not a want at this time! You could be worrying for nothing and no point worrying all over Christmas.
Let us know how you get on!
