Hi Newbie here ,
Been with BT TV and broadband for the last 18 months (approx.) Tired of a below par broadband so phoned Sky to see whats on offer.
To cut to the chase the sky adviser took my details and informed me that I was still a customer as there was no record of a cancellation call . Basically I had shelled out over £500 for services not received . After a feeble attempt to get a refund I allowed myself to accept their offer off 20% off for the next 5 years which is probably something they would offer to anyone to secure their business for 5 yrs . So I signed up for 12 months as I didn't want to go back to BT(I DID CANCEL BT) Still not happy though , and unsure of my legal position. Any advice , thoughts ?

Hi JJ , Thanks for the reply , there was a smallish severance fee with BT however I was happy to pay it as the service was so poor.(unable to connect to broadband for days on end )

I'm not normally this scatty but I've had a lot on recently ( family illness) and have found myself spinning too many plates. Anyway as I said in my heading BT are not the issue . I'm guessing I don't have a leg to stand on regarding SKY . Thanks
