UKPC Parking Charge

Options
Hi all, so just yesterday (Sunday the 28th Dec at 20:12) I get a ticket for parking literally 2 minutes while I pick up some take away from me local Chinese. I parked outside the retaurant as I always done, there no markings on the road apart from a sign indicating the car park is controlled by UKPC a few yards down the road. And it's a free car park!! The charge indicated that I'd not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space. But there are no markings at all.

I've had a thorough read of the Newbie stickie and have decided to wait for the Notice To Keeper letter and then challenge the charge. Just wondering whether someone has succeeded in overturning the charge before receiving the NTK? Or should I definutely wait?

Any help and input or advice is highly appreciated.

just wait for the NTK, and also assume your subsequent appeal using the template letter will be rejected so make a start on your IAS appeal

What's the main reason for waiting on the NTK? Thanks for for your prompt reply BTW.

Thanks again Redx, I've read the post again and now understand. I'll be waiting for that NTK then and report back.

    Great stuff!

Lots of UKPC cases are cancelled when they see the forum template first appeal:

Loads of UKPC links there, all successful at 'round one'! If not, then you will 100% win at POPLA anyway.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
