PCP increase mileage

Hi
My GF has a Nissan Juke on PCP with a 10k annual mileage limit.
Due to a change in circumstances, she is going to be doing more miles now - not a massive amount, maybe 3k extra miles a year.
The PCP started in March and the change happened a couple of months ago, so the first year should be close or just within the limit.
Will Nissan allow us to increase the allowance (and monthly payment) or will we just have to pay the excess mileage charge come the end of the 3 years?
Also, is this dependent on what we do at the end of the 3 years? i.e. Is it any different if we hand the car back or trade in for a newer one?
Thanks

Depending on the excess mileage charge it's probably just as well to let it run, at 10p a mile it'll only be £100 per thousand miles, it'll more than likely cost more if you inform them now, and if you then don't go over the limit you've wasted your money. Check your paperwork to see what the excess charge will be, and then get an anonomous quote for the same car at 13000 miles a year and compare the difference,0

It's very much dependent on this.
The dealer wants you to trade it in - so they get another sale. You don't have to trade in to the same dealer, even the same manufacturer. hopefully, the car will be worth more or similar to your final value, in which case they'll just part exchange it and the excess charge will never figure.
The excess charge only applies if you hand it back to the finance company.0 -
Alternatively ramp up the miles and just pay off the balance of the car at the end of the PCP deal. (Do sums first)0
