Euro money transfer

Hi there, I did read an earliar thread but the info still left me clueless, but thats me/us!
We have a wedding in Spain next year and the wife has made a holiday of it, she has booked a villa and needs to pay a deposit, it's a private arrangement and to transfer 210 euro's through Clydesdale bank (her account) will cost £39! is there any other way of doing this that isin't that costly?

Thanks in advance

I have used this company for years, but there are others.
The charge is in the exchange rate that you get.
You can see exactly what you get before you actually trade.
It is quite simple to do.

Be aware that this booking & paying privately into somebody's bank account is one of the biggest scams around !!!!

if you're asking the same question as the other thread you will probably get just a repeat of what was said before. There are plenty of forex firms who will do it for a couple of quid or so, I use

The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....
  • Unless you're transferring millions, Transferwise beats all other forex companies. They give you the true market exchange rate and charge a quid for transfers up to £200 & 0.5% for any amounts above that. Some other forex companies may offer you free transfers but their commission (usually > 0.5%) will be be reflected by the exchange rate. No forex company will offer you the mid-market exchange rate AND offer zero transfer fees.
