Recommendation needed for a new DVD Recorder

Well the video recorder has finally bitten the dust and we have decided to invest in a DVD recorder. Neither of us know much about them so I would be grateful for some recommendations.

Our requirements are that we definitely need a DVD recorder and not a HDD (would still like to be able to watch DVDs), I believe we need what is called a twin tuner (so that we can watch one channel while recording another) and it would be nice, but not essential, if it had built-in freeview. Lastly we don't have tons of cash so a reasonable price would be good.

I have been reading about them on the internet and have got so confused (easily done!) that I don't know what I am doing now! Thanks for reading.

Use the Search option on these MSE forums too as there are many posts on the same subject :D.

There is no such thing as a twin-tuner DVD-Recorder yet so don't believe any sign in a shop that states so. They mean it's a DVD-Recorder with a Freeview tuner integrated in it plus the analogue tuner(There are twin-tuner PVRs which are Hard Drive recorders )
Or you could use a separate Freeview box connected to an analogue/ ordinary single-tuner DVD-R( which is my favoured option, as replacing the Freeview box in case of trouble is easier than replacing the entire DVD-R).

Be aware that you will usually have to have the Freeview channel onscreen if you're recording from it, unless you have it connected to a TV with it's own integrated Freeview capability.
It's not the same as the old VCR system unfortunately . Much more complicated.
