I have just thought up a "get rich quick scheme" which involves you sending me all your money in a brown, unsigned for, envelope.
This offer is only available to idiots.I am a LandLord,(under review) so there!:p0 -
You've got a 200k inheritance, 200k in savings and yet live in a council house with a big discount on the price if you buy it. No wonder the countries in trouble. I would move out of the council house so they can give it to somebody who actually needs it then buy a 300 K home with cash, leaving you 100k to have fun with.
Exactly this. Why the hell are we paying for you to live in a council house. How about you move out of the council house and give the money to the government to say thanks for helping you out when you were needy?0 -

It is not the OPs fault that the systems are faulty so I do think you should be less aggressive. There are Union leaders earning large sums who believe they have the right to remain in their social housing.
At least he is thinking of a way to use the money to support himself not using it for drink and drugs.0 -

Not on benefits anymore, but working in a dead end administrator job so would like to use this £200,000 to leave my job and make a career out of it.
£200k in property doesn't go far.
You'll make far better returns from investing, i.e. creating your own business.
No doubt property appeals to you as there's no effort involved. Life isn't so simple.0 -

Well how about before you be a judgemental fool.
My money in savings is some inheritance and money me and my wife have saved up. She's an psychologist and makes a decent wage I work part time.
But before I met her and had any money I started from scratch in a council flat after sofa surfing for a year or so. I work pay taxes, full rent, council tax etc so please explain how this is bad?
And how this goverment are even justified for any money after they have been selling off the nhs to their rich private company chums, after they plan to waste billions on nukes and how they give themselfs 11% pay rise but freeze public sector to 2%. Ohh and thentax breaks for the mega rich.0 -

Our society is built on giving people a helping hand when they really need it. You obviously don't need this council house or other benefits but you have convinced yourself that you deserve them still. You should be ashamed to be taking advantage of the system.
Why not use all this money to get an education, a full time job and contribute to society?
The funny thing is that Farage is trying to paint immigrants as the problem in Britain, when it's far more likely that locals are the ones taking benefits that they don't need.0
