I'm sorry I'm thick, but as I mentioned before, I'm a relative newcomer to computers. Can you please tell me what some of the initials you use stand for? I get the ones for family members, but what does YS and OS stand for? It's driving me mad not knowing.
I'm with you, Cheerfulnes, I do love a rummage and I love clothes as well!0 -

I love hearing what people do with their freezers! Ours is a standard fridge-freezer, with 2 1/2 drawers. The only time is it ever full is immediately after I renew dd's prescription bread, when we get 12 Genius loaves - they are only 2/3 the size of 'normal' loaves and 9 of them fill 1 drawer. I'd like to be so organised that as her loaves are used up, then I use the free space. But because the bread can sometimes take 10+ days to arrive, it's all rather hit and miss!
My dad has a large chest freezer and I reckon that if he evrr reavhed the bottom of it, there's be stuff from last century!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Evening All - dinner tonight was Chicken & Mushroom & Ham pie made with leftovers last week & YS pastry. DH & I didn't venture out today as it was so cold so he lit the wood burner & we've veg'd today! I have done a bit more to the seat cover & tacked the zip in ready to sew tomorrow & that will be the first one finished. Took a look at the others & realised I've done the most awkward shaped one first- doh! Still the remainder should be much easier ( I hope!)
I'm going to have a baking session tomorrow - Lemon Drizzle (Mary Berry) and a Granny cake & some soups. Think I'll try Vhalla's Orange Chicken too.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Scrubbed the kitchen floor always feel better when thats done. I will be going shopping tomorrow evening think I've said it before it's a good night for YS at about 7pm.Why pay full price when you may get it YS0

Well I might not be making roads through this pattern but I'm getting there. Two rows completed now!Glad to see that the cushion project is well and truly moving forward, Silvas.
Viv- let us know how your liver with ginger goes. Never had together but love both of those separately.
That must be so hard to find the space Apple Muncher for all that bread. I'd be lost. Mine gets filled with YS bargains and the meals I make from them, plus offers I capitalize on.
Well I am well and truly over the moon with my latest mend. I fixed my lappy! :j:j:j
Its been badly playing up for a while making it almost impossible to type text without it jumping all over the place, sometimes text appearing lines above where I'd already typed and I was having to find were the cursor was. Sometimes it would even jump to a previous viewed page without notice.
DH had offered to buy me a new one in a few weeks and let DS use this one for working on. (he likes techie projects).
Inspired and mighty impressed by JackieO's successful repair, I decided to google my problem and then research the possible solutions.
I took the bull by the horns and followed a suggestion regarding going into the control panel and doing some tweaking :eek: and HEY PRESTO all fixed! :T
I've been suffering that problem for weeks and weeks.
Oh course now I'm impossible to live with, seeing as both DH and DS declared it a 'big job' stating it was probably due to crumbs under the keyboard. I do like a biscuit or two.Anyway, that has hugely raised my confidence and I'll try to sort my own problems in future.
Making a cuppa then will post todays spends.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Money Spent in Total - £2.86 Vouchers Spent in Total - £0
Money left in purse - £0.14 - Float left- £8.51/£15
Jan non-foods left- £9.38/£15
.
From the grocery budget we bought 2lts milk@ 88p, YS Barley & Grain loaf@ 69p, lrg bag carrots@ 69p and YS Jumbo Swiss Roll@ 60p.
We bought Daz 40 washes @ £4, antacids @ £1.40 and 1 pk paracetamol @ 22p from the non-foods budget.
From the Extras budget we bought 1x tub Morrisons drinking chocolate@ £2.49, Seabrook 6pk of crisps@ £1 and 3x boxes of Maltesers @ £1 each.
BTW, that 'luxury' hot chocolate from Aldi was very disappointing at £1.29 reduced. It didn't really taste of chocolate, just a slightly sweetened milk. DS says he's okay with it and Grandkiddies will have anything hot and milky. I can't abide it though and have treated us to our favourite Morrisons one.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250
