Forgot to say, Celtic moon, I have a combined, tv/pc and use a dongle for the internet; £19.99 with three months' usage from that well-known auction site. It's cheaper than topping up every quarter - that costs £30

Hiya all,
well its been a lovely day here but i have been doing work on computer all day and not seen much of it - apart from putting out the washing which dried beautifully and smells sooooo clean. I really dont get people who have room for a washing line and yet use a tumble dryer, buying scented sheets - using electric etc. It takes 10 mins to hang out washing and can be done 'while the kettle boils' which is my favourite way of getting boring chores done! But I quite like hanging out washing
An NSD for me today which is great - 7 more days to go on £5 now! house is full of food and only need stamps as house is full of other stuff.
Might need some Stardrops as my drain is blocked - again!! Mine is a very old house (built 1886) and shares a drain with a neighbour. My drain being the last and lowest in the run - so when one of my dozier neighbours chooses to empty her deep fat fryer down the drain  my drain gets a 'fatburg' in it and I have to spend my time with me head down the drain dispersing same!!! the alternative would be to have my whole yard dug up and all the sewage and drainage re laid (last costed 8 years ago at £5,000:eek:) - Yes I have tried explaining it to her but she says its nowt to with her - its not her drain!!!! Have given up and just realise that every 3 months I will have me head down the drain!!
not moaning - honest - its just a fact of my life!! On a more cheerful note I may be going out for a meal tomorrow night??? Hmmm - unless I got wrong end of stick again!
Other than that should be NSD for me tomorrow too!
Glad folks are coping well! Keep it going!Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j
NSDs 2015:185/330 (allowing for hols etc)

Morning all, hope everyone is well today. I did a bit of a clear out yesterday so have a bag of stuff to drop off at the charity shop today. Flat is looking a lot tidier although probably not for long - we have a tiny flat, a lot of stuff
and absolutely no storage space.
I'm going to get my hair cut today at the local college and then head out to see a friend who had a baby recently. Can't wait to see them as I haven't seen them since just before new year.
Tea tonight will be the rest of the leftovers of the roast beef from Sunday and then the next 3 days I'm working late shifts so will eat at work for free. Thanks Viv for the pork and pesto recipeMortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Lyn, I was wondering the same as Ches. We also lived in a very old house once with shared drains and the council came out to ours free of charge. It was something to do with if your house had been built before a certain time. Ours also had been built in the 1880's.
We had to get them out frequently to sort ours as they kept overflowing. Such a pest, isn't it?
I know the year before last in our area the water board announced changes in responsibility for drains but it went in our favour. By that time we were living in a house built in the 60's.
Misstara, you do well getting free meals at work. DH is only allowed to eat with the residence over the xmas holidays, although occasionally he grabs a slice of toast or biscuit. He's mainly working nights now and its hard to know what to send him to work with. At least he gets time to eat now. Day times are manic but the time flies, he says.

Hi Vhalla- must have missed this one! Could you repeat it or tell me the page number and I will find it! Thanking you!
This will be glorious anticipation as my oven has been out of operation for two weeks now which isn't helpful as I make cakes for my son`s work every week! So have just bought an oven on Ebay and hopefully normal life will be restored!xx0 -

Hi,
The dongle you mention -my son uses one because he has no land line and it seems very expensive costing him around £15 every 7 - 10 days. You say yours lasts three months - is that because you are frugal with it or is that 3 months unlimited usage? I know his says x number of days and x number of gig - whichever comes sooner. - it is the latter which usually does!
Any further info would really be welcome.
