I could only find feefo which rated them highly and review centre which rated them really badly!
  • So Emma make your own mind up.

BTW Did you find the BBC Watchdog reference?

What you need to understand is that basically there are 3 ways to book a holiday.

1 If you want to have a rep available at the resort and reassurance of your holiday being safely put together then book a package with one of the mainstream companies, but that comes at a cost.

2 If you are happy not to have a rep and are prepared to take a chance then book through one of the cheaper online companies, but bear in mind these are rarely packages and you have much less protection.

3 Book the components, flight, hotel and transfers separately yourself.
As long as you book with the providers, ie. airline, hotel and transfer company directly then you should be OK but again as always there is a slight risk something could go wrong.

No one can tell you what to do it's up to you to do your research and make an informed decision.

Onthebeach don't have the greatest reputation. Quite often their booking system isn't "live" so once you book they'll phone up and and say the holiday/flight is no longer available for that price and you need to pay more to continue with your booking. They can also be a nightmare if anything changes.

From reading your other post I have the following advice for you:

    - Book flights directly with the airline. If it's Ryanair or any other airline just book direct. This will ensure that you are getting a confirmed booking at a live price and also if anything changes they will email you direct.

    - then book your preferred hotel. Use comparison sites to see who's offering the best price. Travelrepublic/alpha rooms/booking.com/sunshine.co.uk are all good.

    - transfers can also be arranged separately. Often the hotel booking websites offer them, or there are specialist websites for that too.

There really is nothing to worry about. And if you need any further advice (like Ryanair check in procedure etc) you can just ask here nearer the time!
  • Thanks. I booked with Ryan air and alpha rooms after a lot of research on cheap but non dodgy apartments and saved £250. Still worried something will go wrong but used a credit card for extra security and getting insurance tonight. Really excited. 1st holiday with 3children.
