That looks lovely - particularly the dinky frittatas, very cheffy.
Pizza in this house tonight as there are ends of things that need using up - peppers, mushrooms and bits of salame and ham. I wasn't going to do it until the weekend but DH & DS1 are off to a festival and I wasn't convinced that DS2 and I would use them all up before they went yeuch, or before we went off the odd combinations.
I have spent the afternoon sorting clothes for what feels like the umpteenth time. I am kondo-ing still and thought boys clothes were done but it seems DS2s were merely in hiding. There are now 2 bags for the charity shop, one of fab things for a friend with 3 boys and another full of school uniform and pe kit that I will offer on FB to anyone(s) that want it. Feels so much better to have it sorted, and now I can have a long weekend with DS2 and feel like I've earned it (a little).LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300

Really like the look/sound of those rice-frittata things
But, did I hear right in that tomorrow is Friday and you are NOT having pizza?!?
We had a smoky veg & bean stew tonight - used up the last of the peppers and onions. we had kidney and black-eyed beans (which I showed OH how to get 50% cheaper in the superM by going round the other side of the aisle to the ethnic section.........)
at work today we began the delights of the 'Christmas rota' - I can see it all ending in tears lol.
I have been thankful for two things in the last couple of days:- 6 bottles of pleasant wine from Mr.S for £16.25 (combination of vouchers/offers etc)
- lovely lady in WHSmythe - I went in to buy something small to obtain change for parking as left parking purse at home
I was going to buy 2 packs of X-S mints for £1.20 when she let me know that I could get 5 for a £1. then I had to 'fess up about why I was there as I had to pay at one of those machines - no problem, she did it at the till instead and added extra-change for good measure
super lovely lady

Good Morning :hello:
Nah, no pizza - no cheeseAnd not an awful lot to fill a calzone with either, so ringing the changes with chilli
This morning there is so much condensation about, it is like an autumnal morning in October! Mind, did you see the moon last night? Fantastic, just like a harvest moon
Just made a fruit/spice version of soda farls, but realised (too late) that i'd forgotten to put a speck of sugar in
Have a great day.
See y'all later.

GP - it's been so cold here we broke down and put the heater on the other evening! - Snuggle blankets came out & warm drinks were made! Even the flock of sheep over the road were snuggled up together for the evening!Upsidedown_Bear wrote: »...

Good Morning :hello:
Well, I managed to catch a glimpse of the moon again last night - pretty spectacular eh? It would have been even better in a 'dark' area I think, totally unfettered viewing
We had our chilli with rice for tea last night. I didn't bother taking a pic, as y'all know what chilli, rice, a dollop of yoghurt and a sprinkle of lime zest looks like!Besides which, I had read something on Alchemilla's thread which reminded me of why a lot of people detest bookofface, as folks are forever posting snaps of what they are about to eat! I don't do bookofface for a wide variety of reasons, but I figured I was being just as boring here
, so perhaps I ought to moderate me posts a bit
I'll give it a ponder, as I think there's something in it.
We watched a bit of telly together last night. DP had taped that 4 part series on the Pennine Way for us. We watched 2 parts. I can't help thinking that the BBC take interesting subjects and then dumb them down and make a programme with the wood shavings that are left. After all, there was precious little walking of the Pennine Way in any of the 60 minutes of broadcasting we have currently watchedIt's a bit like C0untryf1le, but with a marginally more charismatic presenter. I quite admire that Paul Rose, he's done things. But as per usual (think C0ast intros) most of the first few minutes of the programme are wasted with the same intro shots and voiceover, with a 'what's coming up in the programme'.
Ah well, we did see some nice bits of Derbyshire and Yorkshire
Judicious food shopping needs to be done today. Bit disappointed yesterday that there were several things that weren't in HB - their shelf space had gone too, so you don't know if they are just temporarily out of stock, or not stocking that particular item again. The only downside of shopping in the discounters I find
I need to make some yoghurt today, otherwise i'll have an unhappy DP on my hands.
I'm wondering how my budget will hold up. Butterfly Brain who is an absolute diamond on the OS thread, and a marvel at whipping up meals for pennies, was talking about falling prices in mrAl. Butter at 82p, celery 34p and salad onions for 35p.
Tinned tomatoes in HB were 4 for £1 yesterday (our local mrT/mrA never have the KtC offers), so there are some bargains out there...... just need to snag 'em for meself.
Right, best shift a tail feather. I've plenty to keep myself occupied today.
Thanks for popping in, reading and joining in. Much appreciated.
See y'all later.

Morning, Mr T and I were hanging out of our bedroom window looking at the moon last night - truly beautiful.
My shopping today will consist of milk and cream. I'm challenging myself to live from the freezer, larder, fridge and garden until we go away :rotfl:
Could be an odd array of dishes
