Hi guys,

i have connected my external hard drive to my home hub which i can access my files via my laptop.

Please can you explain how i access the files via my smart phone.

A file explorer would do. e.g. assuming Android

how do i set it up so when you click on the external hard drive it askes you for a password.

Not tried but lots of stuff out there e.g. http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/

I don't think you can password protect if it's plugged into a Home Hub it's set to share it to everyone on the network.
