Would it be OK for the vent to come out just to the left of the drain pipe in the horizontal part of the soffit, not the face showing as can be seen at the side of the house?
An inverted U from the bathroom ceiling?
Or would it cause the wooden soffits damage.
It would save drilling through the wall.

Yes but why so close to the down pipe? I'd tend to give myself at least 500mm distance to avoid any smells being blown down into the property0

Also it is a drain pipe from the guttering.0 -
