Something else that I started a few months back that I thought had died, but now come back again!
The property I own in Portsmouth has residents parking on the estate, maintained by a PPC (actually this is useful because it is right opposite a major shopping and leisure centre and everybody else would park there if they thought they would get it free!).
My wife got two parking tickets from the now sacked parking company (they have been replaced). Having contacted the Management company who contacted the PPC and had them cancelled.
Now we have had letters from the PPC saying this amount is overdue. The letter is address as 'Notice to Driver'.
I have written to them (on behalf of my wife) saying that the Management Company who had previously employed them to enforce parking on the Estate, had arranged for them to be cancelled. I quoted the name of the person that had dealt with it at the PPC.
I then referred to the FCN they had issued. They are trying it on, as ever. It's what PPCs do best. Luckily you are not a victim who doesn't know that!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
