Hi
I am asking you this as a last resort. My husbands Christmas present was this dash cam as mentioned above. We went out on Boxing Day and then wanted to download the data on our laptop.
I have Windows 7. When I plug in the USB cable it recognises the device but I don't know where to go from there. It keeps saying when I click on it that access is denied. It is registering that there is data on the device but I am unable to transfer it. I downloaded the manual but basically it just indicates that the folder should show up which as far as I can see it doesn't. I have reached a dead end and my husband is saying it is a piece of junk which is going to be sent back! Any ideas anyone. I will need fairly basic instructions if you know what to do. I am actually beginning to think we have a faulty device but according to my computer the device is working properly. Many thanks.

The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best

I find it hard to believe that some people own computers but don't ever learn how to access files etc.
Simply open Windows Explorer and then navigate to the attached device, and then to the folder where you will find the video file to copy across to a directory of your choice on your PC.
See here:doh: Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Thank you for your reply. I have copied it across (I didn't realise it was as simple as that). However, although it is now in the video folder it will not open or play. I have tried windows media player and VLC media player. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
