Private landlords

Hi there
I am looking for a 1 bed flat to rent in South East London/Kent. I have signed up to Zoopla and Rightmove but I wondered where private landlords advertise - as I want to avoid hefty agents fees if I can. I've looked at Gumtree but there doesn't seem to be much advertised on there.
Can anyone suggest where landlords advertise please?
Thanks

I use the local paper, and private ads put up on notice boards in large local companies/office blocks.
Beware scams on gumtree.....0 -
My friend advertises on RM & Zoopla via Upad which is for private landlords.0
