ukpc ticket - i pay work £2 to park here, got ticket that says not parked correctly

Options
Hi

I park at a UKPC run car park with work who then shuttle us to work. I pay £2 a month for this. now on the day of incident the markings were not clear and looked like a bay so i parked and displayed my permit.

i have read the flowchart - and the draft letter- does my parking permit with work make any difference to me being in contract with ukpc to park.

do i still have grounds to appeal the £100 fine?

im really confused but do not want to pay £100

    This IS NOT a fine!

You need to start by carefully reading the Newbies Sticky - That explains your situation and the various options for seeing them-off. :)

    It should but it won't.

It is not a fine. Yes you have grounds for appeal as set out in the NEWBIES thread.

im really confused but do not want to pay £100

You don't have to pay anything as long as you appeal using the template in the NEWBIES thread. Use ALL of the appeal points assuming this was in England/Wales and was not a hire/lease car.

Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving.

As ever, this is covered in the sticky thread at the top of this parking forum - which is why I wrote it. Sadly, last year it got silly as we could not keep up with all the ''help I have got a private parking ticket, what do I do?'' threads so I wrote a sticky thread BEGGING newbies to 'read these FAQS first'.

We assume this was in England or Wales (not Scotland). Either way the NEWBIES thread and flowchart has already told you what to do! The thread tells you that the details of what happened do not matter and you need to wait for the first letter as long as you are the registered keeper.

UKPC often just cancel when they get sent the appeal template from the NEWBIES thread, and if not then the sticky tells you how to win at POPLA and explains what that is... :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
