Warm destinations for Xmas

We want to go away next Xmas, and know the flights jump as soon as the kids break up from school!
We're a family of 6. Kids will be 2, 6, 10 & 13. We want temps about 25 or above. Not Egypt.
Any suggestions for destinations and cheapest way to do it. Big travel agents are coming up about £8500!!! :-/ can get cheap villa in Florida - but then flights are still about £5000!!!

Mexico. Do a bit of research on locations in and around Cancun, depends really on what you want but there are lots of options. I'd suggest trying for a cheap flight only to get there and look at hotels near Playa Del Carmen. You'll get some adventure, history, activities as well as great beaches.0

Can I ask why not Egypt?0

Anything hotter than the canaries and not Egypt is going to cost significantly more.
South Florida and Playa Del Carmen are great options.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
I don't think I'd talk hubby into Egypt. He'd worry too much, and stress about food! I tried a few years back.
We've just come back from Florida, and south Florida is an option, it's just flights are coming up about £5k over Xmas. Carribean is coming up about £8k+. It's all just stupidly expensive over Xmas! :-(0 -
Tycho, are you looking at flight prices for next year? Most airlines won't release their flights until 11months before so if you look 11months to the day you want to go then the prices shouldbe better. We're looking at next Xmas ourselves and will be doing that.MFW 2019#24 £9474.89/£11000 MFW 2018#24 £23025.41/£15000

To save money, it could be worth addressing your hubby's concerns and worries. Demand is high at Christmas hence the price.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

We are in Egypt now. Spent a delightful Christmas. The hotel really went to town on decorations, special meals and tons of stuff laid on the kids. Temperatures in the high 20s every day. It's been fab.
We have been to Egypt at various times of the year and have never suffered illness. Take sensible precautions regarding food, Sun and alcohol, use copious amounts of hand sanitizer and you will be fine.0 -
Gambia - 6 hours away, cheap & 30+ degrees0
